This is an excellent and well priced Bluetooth scanner. If you are looking for just a wired usb scanner, a comparable model can be found for about half the price that will be adequate for you. Most users are looking for either a wired or wireless solution, if you are in the latter bucket this scanner would be a good bar code scanner to consider.

Construction on this item is fairly basic. Not incredibly durable or rugged, but will last a while if properly taken care of. The only improvement would be a rubber port saver for the USB port, not a deal breaker especially since the port is recessed pretty far.

The directions/ set up guide are very basic, but a more detailed and comprehensive guide can be had by emailing hisgadget directly.

**The main purpose of this review is to detail the pairing, usability and functionality of this scanner in wireless mode paired with an IOS device. **

This is actually Rebranded Inateck CT-10 Barcode Scanner. Everything is identical except the boxing and manual. The manual only cover some of the features. For example, I was looking for a way to adding TAB as the barcode suffix, only to find out this line, "Please refer to the USER MANUAL CHAPTER 4 4.2". The problem is, there is no user manual. So I kept searching and try to find a way to let the scanner read special TAB code. It turns out the barcode scanner doesn't understand $I means TAB in full Code39, even though there are settings to enable it. I almost gave up and ready to return the product, then I took a look at the latest manual(Jan 25, 2015) and found out that the feature was already implemented. I used the new manual and now every barcode scans with a TAB. I love it.

Now I scan all the barcodes around and it works great! That's why after all the frustration I still gave it a 3 star.

The startup instructions provided several ways to connect to different operating systems, including the PIN, and I was able to connect and use the scanner within a couple of minutes. It is slightly smaller than I was expecting, which should make it easier to carry around. Easy to turn on and off by holding the trigger and it has different beeps for the functions you perform. I was able to use the inventory mode and scan multiple codes then play them back later using the inventory card that had the program barcodes on it. With bluetooth, I should be able to scan things within 100 feet of the connected PC. I am using Windows 8.1. I like it!
