The Motorola DS4208-SR00007WR handheld barcode readers is black and may be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D), two-dimensional (2D), and Portable Document Format 417 (PDF417) bar code scanners. An Brought aimer produces lines of sunshine within an omnidirectional pattern to scan bar code scanners on labels or mobile phone screens at different angles. Motion tolerance helps limit errors while checking and enables the consumer to scan objects while moving. A cable (offered individually) as well as on-board connects may be used to connect the barcode readers to some computer or host system. The barcode readers weighs in at 6.1 oz. and measures 6.7 x 2.7 x 3.7 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance in the cheapest to greatest point W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right D is depth, the horizontal distance from tailgate to cab.) Barcode scanning devices, also called barcode visitors, may be used to scan and decode bar code scanners and also to transmit barcode data to some computer or any other host system. Barcode visitors having a single-line laser may be used to scan linear, one-dimensional (1D) bar code scanners. Some lasers can establish light within an omnidirectional pattern to permit checking of bar code scanners from various angles. Other barcode visitors contain CCD (charge-combined device) light sensors rather than a laser for precision and put on resistance. Barcode scanning devices with raster checking, area imaging, along with other checking technologies makes it possible for checking of two-dimensional (2D) or Portable Document Format 417 (PDF417) bar code scanners, among other forms. Some barcode visitors provide onboard expensive memory to permit the storage of barcode data before transmitting it to some computer or host system via a USB cable or wireless WLAN or Bluetooth connection. Many barcode visitors possess a handle for handheld use and include a stand or perhaps a charging cradle for fixed position programs, while some are equipped for stationary experience a counter or any other flat working surface. Some portable visitors are sufficiently small to become transported inside a pocket or mounted on a lanyard. I use this for scanning QR codes and it works as advertised. It does not come with a cord though! Beware, you can make a cord if you have cat5 cable and rj45 connectors, but I scavenged one from an old Motorola scanner.

Works well-- but be sure you get the cable you need to go with it, at least with the source I bought from, the cable was not included and it is not standard USB on the reader end-- said so in the description, but not prominently so my lack of careful attention resulted in a separate shipping charge for the cable

Watch out - it doesn't come with a cable. You have to buy that separately.
