The scanner has a nice size and weight to it. Its small enough that it is comfortable in your hands and is still lightweight to where you wont get tired of holding it for long periods of time. It comes with a cable to charge or for data transfer, a 2.4 GHz receiver, the scanner itself, and a very helpful user guide.The scanner is wireless, so it does not need to be plugged in to function. It has a 1500 mAh lithium battery that is rated to last up to 60 hours on a full charge. Mine came with battery and I still haven't had the need to charge it. The USB receiver is plug and play and worked when I put it in my Win 8.1 PC. Like I said earlier, the scanner had a nice feel to it. It is very lightweight and perfect for a small store, office, business, or school. The manual provided is amazing! It provides step by step instructions along with a lot of barcodes that can be scanned to change different settings. A good wireless scanner for basic 1D barcodes,

 When using a standard wired or stationary scanner, you usually have to bring the object to the scanner or at least close enough to your terminal that the wire is long enough for you to get the scanner to the barcode. But with a handheld wireless scanner, you can bring your gun to the item and point it in hard to reach places. This is great if you deal with big, bulky items or keep a lot of inventory far from your terminal that you'd like to track. The included cable is about 4 ft long and also transmits data when plugged into your computer or POS machine. But with the 60 hour battery life on a full charge, you won't have to have this scanner plugged in often. The scanner functions as you would expect. It reads only 1D type barcodes (UPC, ISBN etc.) so no 2D or QR codes. You should also note that you won't be able scan barcodes on mobile devices or computer screens. I am very frustrated with this company. We have purchased almost 10 scanners and almost every scanner no longer works. Each time has been within the one year warranty. This last time I made a purchase, it was suggested to me by an employee. When trying to set up the scanner, it appeared not to work. When I called to see what I was doing wrong or if it was even a user error at all, the employee was unable to help me set up or trouble shoot at all. I was told it may be defective and that they will need to send a new part. When I asked how long it may take to hear anything, I was then told up to 24 hours. Unfortunately, I do not have that kind of time. Especially since this is the third scanner in two months I have had to purchase. I will not be buying from this company any longer!
